The Virto team, consisting of 8 experienced Rust developers (including PBA alumni and two fellowship members) with room to grow the family(+2), seeks to contribute to the Polkadot ecosystem through Kreivo and VirtoSDK, focusing on enhancing user and developer experiences to attract and help transition real world organizations to Web3.
Kreivo: An opinionated "near-system parachain" with focus on organizations, usability and governance. It serves as a testbed for innovative features aimed at creating a more accessible and efficient environment for both developers and users.
Example: We want a DAO of builders to set up a Smart Contract Marketplace, making use of the payments and curated listings systems, it can create an environment where developers can monetize their work where other organizations or individuals pay the creator of a contract (and the DAO) for each instance of a contract.
VirtoSDK: Rust-based toolkit for Polkadot development with focus on simplicity and portability:
Kreivo's design as a "near-system parachain" allows us to iterate faster and explore and test ideas more freely based on real world user feedback. Our approach aligns with emerging ecosystem initiatives aimed at consolidating functionality and enhancing scalability like the Plaza concept. We hope to contribute insights on community-driven governance and sustainable growth models, potentially informing future developments in Polkadot's core infrastructure. By developing tools that bridge advanced blockchain capabilities with user-friendly interfaces, we aim to support Polkadot's vision of a more accessible and efficient blockchain ecosystem.
🧪 Near-what chain?: Kreivo intentionally retains its root origin, diverging from system chain requirements, to pursue a long-term experiment in large-scale, token-free DAO governance driven by its thriving communities... Not a bug, but a feature ;)
Longer-term funding would be ideal for retaining talent and maintaining project continuity. It allows our team to focus on innovation and consistent, high-quality contributions to Polkadot, rather than intermittent fundraising efforts.
We look forward to discussing how our projects could align with and support the fellowship's goals for the Polkadot ecosystem.
