I am Jamal Jones, a fullstack blockchain engineer specializing in Rust/Solidity Smart contract development and also Blockchain integrations using Rust/Typescript with strong interests in cryptography, Blockchain Interoperability, Wallet UX and Protocol architectures. I worked in the past on DeFi teams, Dev Advocacy (including for Polkadot Africa), Fullstack development focusing on community engagement, product architecture. On my personal hours, I build Blockchain tooling and other interesting products having worked on PVM Precompiles that exposes Soldiity interfaces for interacting the revive-exposed precompiles logic.
I have been bullish on the Polkadot ecosystem and consider the Fellowship as a great way to further my journey within the Blockchain ecosystem. After spending time exploring the product and building D'apps, I am driven to explore contributions to the core protocol itself. I greatly admire the core engineers within the fellowship and appreciate the opportunity to learn from them and focus my efforts to the long-term progression and improvements of the ecosystem. The fellowship is the most direct way to achieve this goal.
My interests are deeply tied to the core layers around
I have done some work contributing to the SDK, and joining the fellowship will allow me to be able to further the pursue the chance(s) to be more useful to the ecosystem. Some of them are:
I am currently working on resolving more XCM improvements within the codebase while also working (on my personal fork) on some cryptographic precompiles logic related to pallet-revive that can be used by Solidity developers.
