Background information of the applicant
Hi, my name is Nnamdi, and I’m a software engineer with 5+ years of experience building and scaling backend systems. I lead backend engineering at my company, and I am responsible for ensuring our services are up and responsive. I do this by upholding good engineering practices, including robust test coverage, CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring proper monitoring of our services using observability tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana.
I’ve been an open-source contributor in the Web3 space for over a year. In that time, I have contributed to popular open-source projects like Ethereum’s Foundry, Starknet Foundry, and the Polkadot SDK. I’m a graduate of PBAX Wave 5 and have mastered the foundational concepts of Polkadot.
Motivation(s) for applying to the Polkadot Technical Fellowship
I am interested in joining the fellowship to play a part in the success of the ecosystem and contribute to the development of the Polkadot technology. I am impressed by the technical depth and cutting-edge innovations Polkadot has consistently delivered to the Web3 space, and I want to be a part of that innovation. I aim to learn more about the technology by building it. I believe that getting hands-on is the fastest way to master the technology.
I’m also excited about the next phase of Polkadot - JAM; I am studying the JAM Gray paper. I look forward to contributing to the development of JAM, starting with Polkavm and building services on top of JAM.
